Terms and Conditions

These terms explain the rules for using Orbit, including account responsibilities, user-generated content standards, and how safety issues are handled.

Overview

Orbit helps people find local Happenings, join clubs, and connect with friends. By creating an account, logging in, or using Orbit, you agree to use the app safely, honestly, and respectfully.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Orbit.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login information secure. Account-based actions such as hosting, joining, RSVPing, reporting, blocking, friending, and profile management require a signed-in account so activity can be attributed and moderated.

You may not impersonate another person, create misleading profiles, or use Orbit in a way that interferes with the app, other users, or local communities.

User-Generated Content

You are responsible for the Happenings, clubs, announcements, profile details, messages, and other content you create or share in Orbit.

Orbit may remove content, limit distribution, suspend accounts, or eject users who violate these terms or create safety risks.

No Tolerance for Abuse

Orbit has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post, share, promote, or encourage harassment, hate, threats, sexual exploitation, graphic violence, spam, scams, illegal activity, or content intended to harm, intimidate, or exclude people.

Reporting and Blocking

Users can flag objectionable content and block abusive users in the app. Blocking removes that user's content from the blocking user's feed and sends a moderation record to Orbit for review.

Moderation Response

Orbit reviews objectionable content reports and aims to act within 24 hours by removing violating content and ejecting users who provided offending content when appropriate.

We may also preserve information related to reports, blocked users, removed content, and moderation decisions when needed to investigate abuse, protect users, or enforce these terms.

Location and Local Features

Orbit uses city-level location context to show nearby Happenings and clubs. When you create a Happening or club, the place you select may be shown to other users so they can discover, evaluate, and navigate to that activity.

Changes to Orbit or These Terms

Orbit may change features, policies, or these terms as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
